SATA Technology and Business College has been started as SATA TRAINING CENTRE in 2002 EC to give short term training in computer and information technology. Following the growing demand and the favorable conditions cascade by the government, the training center started offering diploma level training in TVET programs. With the commitment of the owner and the employees, understand the ever-growing demand for higher education, the college started degree programs in business and information technology degree programs. SATA Technology and Business College was formally adhered in running undergraduate degree program courses in 2014 with the mission of offering high quality education and training, conducting demand driven and problem solving research and consultancy and rendering community service so as to contribute to the development endeavors of the country. SATA Technology and Business College is a pioneer college in Arba Minch and surrounding specially in basic computer training, IT and Computer Science and has earned recognition for its effort to produce highly skilled professionals in technology particularly, in computer related disciplines from regional zonal authorities. Since its establishment, the college has been playing its role in the development of the country by producing qualified manpower in various fields of study. During about 10-years of operations, SATA Technology and Business College, has cumulatively graduated about more than seven thousand students in the bachelor’s degree and TVET programs in the regular and continuing modes of delivery. More recently the number of students is increasing steadily and the demand for various pieces of training and developments has been growing. Further, as a result of the fast-growing economy of the country, there is more demand for competent human resources which necessitated the expansion of postgraduate programs in the country. Thus, STBC has been commencing different programs from the TVET sector to the post graduate programs. On this regard the academic vice dean’s office has been contributing a lot from the commencement of the programs to the graduation of students. With this intent this plan is prepared to bridge the gaps which have been exhibited in the former academic fiscal years
